Locations
For cross country skiing we go to the Snowy Mountains, of course.
One option is to base ourselves from Guthege due to the free (snow)
camping and go up from there.
There are also infrequent trips to New Zealand to 'actually' go
mountaineering.
Time of Activity
Winter. The longer the trip the better.
Equipment
Usually Cross-Country skis are involved - we hire them from local
companies and usually get good deals. A 5 day trip costing
less than $200 is about right. |
