Bungles
98
You may be excused for thinking that the 250m climbs up some of
the most spectacular peaks you'll ever see were the lesser feats
of the long weekend considering some of the efforts of this year's
Bunglers:
- Chris hauling an esky 5km uphill to
the campsite, pausing only to miss the camp the first time around
and to have a close encounter of the 4th kind (with the ground).
- Jason sleeping outside on his hammock
defying the hordes of bird-sized mozzies
- The rest of the group not killing Jason
(a.k.a the sleep Nazi) at 5:30am every morning when he blew
his party toot to wake everyone up (even those not going climbing).
- Waz earning his Nighthood by successfully
returning in the dark every climb!
- The beginners overcoming personal demons
and a healthy fear of heights by conquering Belougery Spire
and Crater Bluff.
- The whole group for successfully remembering
who was and wasn't a Steve and who was and wasn't a Chris.
- The Sports Union for being so understanding
about the missing window in the bus.
- The group for avoiding the rampaging
wild highland pigs and goats.
- Bobby Dazzler for packing that much
philosophy into one weekend.
- Lisa accidentally rewinding some film
so that the only shots left are of Waz climbing.
