Rogaining

The Lostock and Lake Macquarie rogaines have produced some strong
results in the usual rogaining weather - ie. wet. The Lostock event
only attracted two NUMC teams - both doing well with Anna and Damian
tramping home second in the 24 hour event. The annual Lake Macquarie
rogaine attracted a large crowd from the club, 6 teams; 4 of them
new to the sport. Highlights of the very wet afternoon included
the two pit stops by a tea and damper mad team en route to a few
creek controls. The end of the event 3 course dinner was a welcome
sight for all new competitors, and they also found that using a
compass wasn’t scary. |
